Edmund Barton College has partnered with some of the leading Australian Universities to provide you with a Pathway to University. By completing a course with Edmund Barton, you can boost your ATAR scores, gain credits towards your University entry or even get guaranteed entry!
*Note: everyone's situation is different, and you should check with your preferred Uni to ensure your place but SCU & Griffith will certainly recognise the units you do in an Edmund Barton College course.
Our Partners
As we deliver courses that are part of the AQF (Australian Qualification Framework), many universities will be able to offer you credits towards their courses when you apply to them. We would recommend that you contact your university of choice to find out their own requirements before deciding which course to study with Edmund Barton.
We have partnered with the following universities to offer you a Pathway to University. We are adding to this list all the time so please drop us a message if you don't see your University here and we will give you more information about how we can help.
Edmund Barton College has approved articulation arrangements with Southern Cross University, recognising the learning complete within these courses/qualifications for entry into the first or second year of a related Southern Cross course, with maximum credit.
This means, that it is possible to study a Certificate IV or Diploma online course at Edmund Barton College and apply it towards your University qualification to not only gain maximum credits towards your course but also to guarantee your entry*.
- Completing a Certificate IV will guarantee your entry to ALL Southern Cross Associate Degrees
- Completing a Diploma will guarantee your entry to ALL Southern Cross Associate Degrees, most 3 year Bachelor Degrees and some 4 year Bachelor Degrees.
(*applicants must meet the University's minimum English language proficiency requirements for admission)

Edmund Barton College has approved credit articulation arrangements with Griffith University as below:

This means, that it is possible to study a Diploma online course at Edmund Barton College and apply it towards your Griffith University qualification to gain additional credits towards your Batchelor degree.

Looking for a boost to your ATAR scores?
If you, or your child. are currently in Yr 12 or thinking about ATAR subjects, and are getting worried about not reaching the rank needed in the ATAR, it is possible to study a Certificate III or above and to use the points gained on completion towards your ATAR scores.
This means that you can enrol in any of our courses and use them in two different ways:
• as one of the five inputs into your ATAR and/or
• as a stand-alone basis for tertiary admissions such as Universities or other colleges.
You don't need to fulfil any pre-requisites to follow this route and upon completion, you will receive an accredited, Nationally Recognised Training qualification - you can get in touch with if you have any questions or look through our website to find a course that might suit you.
Looking for a way to get faster entry to Uni or guarantee your place?
If you are an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident, living in Australia or anywhere else in the world, then you can study and complete a Diploma or Certificate IV from Edmund Barton College, and you can earn automatic entry and/or credit towards your Australian University degree. You can get the following;
- Credit towards your University degree of up to 33%,
- Save up to one year on the University course fees,
- Save up to one year on living expenses while studying at University,
- Less time away from home and your own family.
- Get into the workforce quicker.
You don’t need an ATAR to follow this pathway. There are no prerequisites to do a Diploma from Edmund Barton College. Then, once you graduate, your qualification(s) will be your pathway to enter some Australian Universities.
