Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers

Skills Checkpoint for Older Workers is a government-led program that allows eligible Australians to access up to $2,200* to fund suitable education and training.

*Note: This is matched funding therefore will cover you for up to 50% of the costs of the training course.

Am I eligible?

Aged 45-70
an Australian citizen or permanent resident
employed and at risk of entering the income support system, or recently unemployed (within three months)
not registered for assistance through an Australian Government employment services program (e.g. jobactive, Disability Employment Service, Community Development Programme).

How does it work?

This is the ideal time to take advantage of the Australian Government program to help fill the gap in the services currently offered to older Australians.

By applying for, and being successful, in the funding, you will be able to get access to a whole world of knowledge that may not otherwise be as easily affordable.
